Our Story

A foundation built on commitment

Super Rise & Shine Empowerment Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in December 2017 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under Certificate Number CAC/IT/NO 93645.

Its mission is to address the near absence of financial services for the large population of economically active poor people engaged in small trading and micro-productive activities across many parts of Nigeria.

The Foundation emerged from the strong commitment of a group of microfinance practitioners dedicated to building a vibrant and high-growth organisation poised to play a leading role in enhancing access to financial services for the poor.

The Foundation ensures its viability and effectiveness by adopting global best practice approaches, inspired by ASA Bangladesh — a global market leader in microfinance services — introduced to Nigeria through the UNDP-assisted MicroStart programme.
